Ramsey, NJ - On behalf of the Pan American Taekwondo Federation, Grand Master Bai presented Melody Shuman with the prestigious title of 5th degree Black Belt warranted for her continued contributions within the Martial Arts industry. Melody Shuman has earned international recognition for many innovative developments including the creation of the widely used Little Ninja program and the highly acclaimed Age-Specific children’s Future Kidz series and Karate Kidz Zone series. Shuman has been in the Martial Arts for over 18 years with five years contributed to Martial Arts research and development which has influenced over 2,000 schools in over 9 countries.
Melody Shuman recently connected with Grand Master Bai through a mutual friend whom suggested that she advance in rank through the Pan American Taekwondo Federation. Grand Master Bai openly welcomed Shuman’s affiliation due to her influence that has helped thousands of Martial Arts schools reach new heights in business and instruction. Shuman spent over 5 hours with Grand Master Bai’s and Pan American affiliates discussing current trends within the Martial Arts industry. After sharing her thoughts and ideas to over 20 Pan American Taekwondo instructors, Grand Master Bai accepted her affiliation with the organization and granted her the distinguished title of 5th degree Black Belt.
Melody Shuman demonstrated that it is not only her knowledge that warranted her 5th degree promotion by performing an intense physical test at her school in St. Petersburg, Florida. Shuman performed an intense 95-move kata along with four weapons katas, six board breaks, and exhibition sparring. Master Ace Ramirez of Infinite Martial Sports Camp witnessed Shuman’s performance. “I have always regarded (Melody) as a Master of this craft of teaching Martial Arts… (Melody) is NOT just a children’s instructor, but a Master of the Arts” said Master Ramirez after Shuman’s testing. “Shuman earned the well-deserved title of 5th degree Master.”
Melody Shuman is the co-owner of Shuman Concepts and On the Mat Martial Arts. Her goals are to continue researching and developing ideas and information that influence the Martial Arts. Shuman has many upcoming seminar tours including plans to tour England, Ireland, Canada, China, and Australia.
